Abstract
This project studies Audience preference of NTA presenters in Owerri using students of Federal Polytechnic Nekede as a case study, to evaluate the channel loyalty. The researcher employed the use of questionnaire and personal observation to have knowledge of the event. Three hundred and forty respondent randomly selected from the study population constituted the sample size a structured questionnaire was carefully developed and used for data collection. Data analysis was done using frequency table percentages bar chart, pie chart, and chi-square. Also, majority of the respondents are between the age of twenty-six (26) and above. In addition, the study also revealed that most of the respondents have television sets and watches television programmes which made the work researchable. A greater proportion of the respondents (59%) preferred NTA Owerri to other stations involves in the project work, because of the presenter’s style and ability to satisfy respondents. The researcher observed that most students are always satisfied with the way programmes are presented due to their locality to a foreign station. Television stations should, therefore, design programme in such a way that it would meet the task of their audience.
