Computer-based primary school teachers posting system (case study of Abia state basic universal education board ASUBEB)

Abstract The need for computerization of activities in an organization cannot be over-emphasized in that productivity and efficiency have being improved drastically. This project focuses on the design and implementation of a computerized primary school teachers posting system. Computerized primary school teachers posting system that automatically post (transfer) teachers due for posting to another location. This project work was embarked upon to monitor the way and manner primary school teachers are being posted in the civil service with a view of improving upon the existing system which was associated with errors such as omission of staff names, influenced of God-fatherism and proffering solutions to the challenges faced with the manual method of posting. In designing the new system names, water-fall model approach was developed as methodology and Java Programming Language was used to design the interface while MySQL (Structured Query Language) served as a Database management system because of their portability, (not machine dependent), efficiency and effectiveness quality.
