Design and implementation of a criminal profiling software using fuzzy algorithm

Abstract The researcher was motivated to conduct this research because of the manual system of operation, inaccurate records and delay in data processing. The objective of this work is to develop a crime record system that will improve efficiency and effectiveness in the management of crime and also provide a lasting solution to the problem by computerizing the maintenance of criminal records which will help track down law offenders. The methodology adopted in this work is in accordance with the world recognized Structure System Analysis and Design Methodology (SSADM). The language used to develop this work is visual basic 6.0 and Access database. This system, if adopted will go along way in helping to increase management and control of crime by ensuring quicker data processing.
