Design and implementation of a mobile-based voting system

Description

Abstract This project was centered on a mobile-based voting system using an Android phone. The current process of voters registration and the actual voting process has some limitations and due to this procedure, numerous problems are been encountered. A design was taken to make the voting process possible via mobile phones. The problems were identified after a series of interviews and examination of documents after which analysis was made and a computerized procedure recommended. This project will also suggest how to successfully implement the computerized procedure and to overcome the obstacle that would hinder the successful implementation of the system. The new system was designed using JAVA programming language and Android SDK. This language was chosen because of its easy syntax and features for developing mobile-based applications
