Abstract The main objective of the study is to design a computer-based staff personnel record system that will provide a fast, efficient, effective and easily retrievable database of the Professor Iya Abubakar Community Resource Centre staff information for timely decision making. In achieving this, a computerized online database management system has been developed. This project also shows how PHP, MYSQL, XHTML, XAMPP, and CSS can be used to design a webpage. The research work has been organized into four chapters. Chapter one examines the background of the study, statement of problem, aims and objective of the study, significance of the study, scope and limitation of the study, methodology of the study and definition of terms. While chapter two deals with literature review, overview of the computer system, computer-based information system, computerized record system, security of the records, methods of keeping staff personal records, backup procedures, and capability of the computer system. In chapter three system design and analysis was discussed,  research methodology, data collection methods, system requirement, design approach, program implementation, program design, system testing, project maintenance and finally documentation of the program was discussed in detail. Finally, chapter four contains summary, conclusion and recommendation of the research work with references and appendices for further study.
