Effect of modern office equipment on the secretarial profession (case study of Ministry of Education, Lokoja).
Abstract
This research work examines the effect of modern office equipment on the secretarial profession with reference to the Kogi State Ministry of Education, Lokoja. Data for the work was gathered from both primary and secondary sources. The population under study is 120 of the staff, from which 50 respondents were sampled using simple random sampling techniques. Percentages and tables were used in analyzing the data. The findings among others revealed that modern office equipment has a positive impact on a secretary’s performance in an organization. Hence, it is recommended that organizations should involve the secretaries in deciding the kind of technological device they wish to procure since the latter are going to use them.
