Abstract
This project is on Effects of instructional resources on the academic performance of students in Minna metropolis. This research work was carried out to find investigated the effects of instructional resources on the academic achievement of secondary school students. For the purpose of the study, data were collected from five hundred and five (505) SS 1 students, eleven (11) teachers and seven (7) principals in eleven (11) selected secondary schools in Minna Local Government areas of Niger State. Teachers and students in the sampled schools were administered questionnaires. Academic Achievement Test was also administered to the students in the selected schools. Results of the study indicated that an adequate supply of instructional resources have significant effects on students’ academic performance. Furthermore, the results revealed that schools with adequate teacher quality and material resources showed superiority in achievements on the academic test than schools without adequate teacher quality and material resources.
