Abstract

This project looks at Linear programming as a technique for managerial decision. This study examined the decision making problem of two business enterprises who are faced with various decision alternatives using the simplex method. For the interior décor, the optimal result is that profit can be optimized if 4units of Mega cut product and 1unit of Chip cut product should be made to attain an optimal profit of N81,458. The beauty spa management result indicated that the units of Weavon wig to be produced should be 3units and 8units of Bob Marley Braided while no unit of Twisted braided should be produced so that the profit stand of N92,313. With the use of the simplex method, insignificant products were eliminated and the resources needed were reduced, with increased profit higher than the current profit margin experienced by the two firms.
