Abstract
The study is aimed at looking into the local government and recruitment processes in Nigeria with a particular reference to Katsina local government. The study is meant to investigate the Local Government and Recruitment process in Nigeria. The participants of this study are delimited to employees of Katsina Local Government Area. The major aim of the study is to determine the Local Government and Recruitment process in Nigeria, a case study of KatsinaLocal Government Area. Primary source of data was used as the research methodology of sourcing data. The research finds out that the majority of the recruitment process requirement in their local government is based on qualification, experience and other things. It was recommended that the process of recruiting, induction planning and training staff to adequately fill a position is a very complex but important aspect of managing any organization.
