Abstract
This project research was conducted to find out the causes of conflict in an organization and how to resolve it. This research work believes that in every organization conflict must escalate if not handled (resolved) properly. The researcher used primary and secondary methods of data collection. The organization in question accepts the proactive approach to managing conflict. The managing strategy for conflict management in the organization is highly effective. The organization believed that forcing the conflict to a conclusion is the best effective method of resolving conflict. Nigeria telecommunication (NITEL) Plc is a Federal government owned company that provides telecommunication services in Nigeria, set up in 1985 as an amalgam of the telecommunication division of the defunct posts and telegraphs (PST) department and the Nigeria external telecommunication (NET) Limited.
