Abstract
This research is on The impact of leadership on organization efficiency, a case study of Okene local government. The problems of many organizations have been traced to leadership. Most organizations have not got leaders that are sound, dynamic, competent, transparent, confident and rational. This has led to the collapse or failure of most organizations in Nigeria. The main objective of this research work is to investigate the impact of leadership on organizational performance. The method used in collecting data was mainly primary and secondary techniques and questionnaires were administered to the respondents. Based on the data presented and analyzed, the following findings were made past leaders were not committed to duties neither did they attained qualities of leadership. Though present leaders are making a change for the better. Having critically examined this topic, some recommendations were made: the government should order for auditor reports periodically and also require the leader of the local government to give be accountable so as to be able to check corruption in the local government level.
