5.0 SUMMARY, CONCLUSION AND RECOMMENDATIONS

5.1 Summary of Findings

This study was conducted to sort out the problem that hinders the smooth running of management of human resource management in Gboko local Government. Looking at the findings it was discovered that staff are not properly motivated to carry out the activities of the organization effectively and efficiently.

It also shows that supervision of staff is not adequately conducted as it is suppose to be. Therefore, the chairman should at least one or two times within a month visit local government to see how staff are performing their various duties.

Training of staff is also not encouraging so, there should be freedom of constant training of staff in order to enable them to acquire the skills and the condition of service given to them as well as the management policies should be adequately in order to achieve the organizational goal or objectives.

Lastly, it was discovered that the equipment used in keeping records in not quite encouraging so, quality equipment like computer systems should be use in order to keep proper records.

5.2 CONCLUSION

Despite the numerous problems confronted by human resource management in Gboko local Government council, it is not out of place to conclude that, it still contributes positively to the development of Book local government council.

Human resource if an important source of productivity gains and economic growth. It is strongly believed that people are important source of sustainable competitive advantage. Example if you have people train them well, create are internal organization that allow them to fully express their potential and reward them appropriately by putting the right incentive in place, the enterprise will be rewarded by superior performance.

Conversely, where employees lack knowledge, skill, capabilities and motivated to work productivity and purpose opportunities for improving performance this can constitute a source of competitive disadvantage.

In the course of the study, the researcher conclude that, it is true that Gboko local government is faced with obstacles like, lack of proper supervision of personnel, inadequate incentive package, lack of employees training and lack of proper record keeping respectively.

5.3 RECOMMENDATIONS

Bearing in mind the above findings, the researcher have following recommendations to make that whole improve the management of human resource in Gboko local Government, adequate incentive package should be given to enable or motivate staff to carryout with work effectively and efficiently.

The federal government should increase and release in time the allocation so that payment of salaries and other incentive package be prompt to avoid hardships experienced when salaries are delayed.

Employees should be visited by the chairman at lent one or tow occasions in a month so as see how they are working.

Staff that are unskilled be sent on courses to improve in the performance of their duties.

Lastly, proper records should be kept for reference purpose.

5.4 Limitations of the Study

This research work covers only Gboko local Government. The most crucial limitations of this project work are time and money constraint.

Going by the harsh economic rarities in the country, it is not easy at all to conduct this research work coupled with the academic requirements. Another constraint is the redundant attitude of some respondents to attend to the researcher and give useful responses to the questions asked to enable the researcher assemble relevant facts for the job.
