Abstract

The negative effects of pornographic films and magazines on the Nigerian youths – case study of Federal Polytechnic Nekede. The primary focus of this project is to expose the ills and adverse effects of pornographic films and magazines on youths using Federal Polytechnic Nekede as a case study. Survey method was adopted for data analysis, and the instrument employed was the questionnaire method. After analyzing the data, the findings revealed that pornography is indeed cancerous and is eating deep into the moral lives of youths causing a  mirage of excesses on campus. The researchers recommend that all hands should be on deck for the eradication of pornographic materials in our society or better still the government together with individual families and the community at large should set up campaigns for youths on sexual education to avoid them having secret knowledge of it to their own detriment as we all know that today’s youths are tomorrow’s leaders.
