Abstract
This project looks at The role of broadcasting stations against drug abuses. Broadcast station organization is good at giving news and opinions to a large number of people, in building internal and external goodwill beyond reasonable assumption needed for an organization to remain and prosper. For these reasons, the establishment of the broadcast stations in Nigeria, Hot F.M and Heartland F.M, for instance, was raised. The disparities in media function thus formed the study on The Role of Broadcast Station in the campaign against drug abuse in Nigeria (A case study of Hot f.m and Heartland f.m). Research questions were formulated, the chi-square statistical approach was used to test the research questions after questionnaires were administered to 100 respondents. The research questions received statistical support showing that people received information about drug abuses more on l-lot f.m, followed by the heartland f.m. The work is divided into five chapters in all, first two chapters are mainly theoretical framework in which the precepts and functions of the broadcast station were discussed, chapter three explained the survey methodology adopted while chapter four and five are based on empirical findings and also recommendation and conclusion for further research, so as to tackle the problems.
