Abstract
This study is on Effective communication as a tool for organizational archievement – case study of Kogi state polytechnic, Lokoja. The method used for the study and sources of information obtained were textbooks, journals, questionnaires and internet materials. 20 office managers were randomly selected for this study. Data were collected, presented and analyzed using tables, mean and standard deviation. From the analysis, the research revealed among others that communication is very important to organizational achievement, that communication exposes the activities of the organization to the outside world, and that communication helps workers to be effective and efficient in the discharge of their work. The study, therefore, recommended among others that: office managers should be given the opportunity to undergo training programs in communication and trained office managers should do well in sharing their experiences with one another.
