Abstract
This project is about An evaluation of intermediary roles of Nigerian civil servants with a case study of Rivers state civil service. The synopsis of this essay alludes to the strongest elemental tool in the government. From the anthologies and analogies assembled from diverse authors, personal observations, one-on-one interviews, viewed television broadcast, radio news commentaries, scholarly papers and articles presented in formal meetings et cetera, it has been held in firm congruence that the public sector is a mirage without the civil servants and to that effect, the implication remains that, if the civil servants become less effective, the entire civil service becomes epileptic.
