Description
Abstract Electricity is not only ingrained in modern life, it is also critical for its continued existence as electricity will soon be the main source of power produced worldwide. In a developing country like Nigeria, the state of power generation by the national electricity generation board is inappreciable. Consequently, institutions such as the universities will have to rely on their own generated source of power supply which runs on fuel. Due to the costs incurred in running power generating plants on fuel, it becomes essential for the power generated to be rationed as full electric power supply for all the various units of the institution will be expensive. This project is focused at the research into the development of a database of electrical power distribution in the university community for control of the power plant distribution grid in order to efficiently and adequately supply the need power to the appropriate units in the institutions as at when due..
