Establishment of moringa plantation at college of agriculture.
Abstract
The research conducted on the establishment of moringa plantation at the College of Agriculture, Hassan Usman Katsina Polytechnic, with the aim to determine how to raise moringa seedlings, to transplant and manage the seedlings raised to the field, determined the percentage success of transplanted seeds and problems associated with the study. 200 moringa seeds were sown in the polythene bag at the nursery stage and the result obtained showed that 150 seedlings at the rate of 75% were able to emerge. The seedlings were transplanted 24 days after emergence. 100 seedlings were transplanted to the field and the successes after transplanting 54 Plants at the rate of 54%
