Expert system for identifying ceiling fan and standing fan problems

Description

Abstract This project aims to develop an expert system for identifying ceiling fan and standing fan problems that is capable of assisting owners in dealing with their fan problems and identifying them. The speed of fans can reduce may be permanently or temporarily. The manner of the reduction can be determined by the cause of such fault. The causes of a permanent reduction in the speed of the fan are primarily from the coil bearings, it could occur if the bearings had been used for a very long time such that it loses its lubricants or if the fan had been kept unused for a long time such that the bearings had acquired much dirt of flying particles. Besides this, the permanent speed reduction in fans could also be caused by the fan coils, if the two coils in the fan had accumulated much dirt in the small space between the static coil and the dynamic coil known as the rotor which carries the fan blades, in such a situation the fan speed could be affected.  C#.Net programming language was used for the interface design and MySQL for the database (back end).
