Abstract

This research work is on Impact of drug distribution on consumer welfare in Nigeria, a study of health care center, Amasiri. The major objective of this study is about how safe the production, distribution and supply of drugs, and the resultant effect on users. A variety of minor objectives exist and they include among others, the investigation on how much the government is involved in ensuring safety in the drug market probing into the activities of drug manufacturers and distributors to the patients (customers). Both the primary and the secondary data were used for this study which includes the structural questionnaire and interview method, internet among others. The Pearson’s product moment coefficient correlation method was used to test the hypothesis. The study found and concluded that everyone must play a role in the fight against the supply and distribution of that drug by suspected manufacturers, distributors and pharmacists. The study recommends that the National Agency for Food Drug Administration and Control should create a drug distribution chain that is licensed for easy monitoring from manufacturer to wholesaler
