Random and purposive sampling technique was used to select sample from the target population. structured questionnaire was developed for data collection. The bio-data information of the respondents was analysed by the use of simple percentage. Pearson Product Moment Correlation Statistical test was used to ascertain relationship between the variables at 0.05 level of significance in null hypothesis 1,2 and 3. ANOVA statistical test was used to determine the difference among the variables at 0.05 level of significance in null hypothesis 4. Findings revealed that parent?s use of authoritarian and permissive disciplinary styles influence students? truant behaviour with mean attendance (2.602.5) for absent in school and (2.392.5) absent in school. Also the two hypotheses were not retained with calculated value greater than the table value (.253 .195) and (.511 .195) respectively.
