Abstract
One of the institutional structures where education is given is the children’s daycare centre. Therefore, this project was conducted to give some necessary information about designing and constructing a daycare centre. To achieve these objectives, literature review chapters explained insights made by different philosophers on childhood education, classification and types of daycare center as well as information provided by the national policy in the education of Nigeria. In chapter three, different methods used for data collection were discussed i.e. site investigation, case study at different schools and collection of the design brief from the client. In the next chapter, all data collected were interpreted, analyzed, and presented to come out with the standard daycare centre that contains all necessary spaces in relation to their functions. At the end of the project, presentation drawings are attached for the conducted research.
