Abstract
Role of community broadcasting in rural development – a study of Orient FM radio, Owerri. The role of community broadcasting in rural development is however concerned with an attempt to examine how rural development programs can be effectively organized and implemented at the local government or grassroots level in any communities in Owerri and Nigeria using Orient FM media as a case study. From all the discussion and analysis, it is perfectly clear that the objective of this study is to assess and find out the effect of media on rural development, using Orient FM media as a case study. To achieve this vigorous sampling of the opinion of respondents was done through research questionnaires. This yields the presentation, analysis and interpretation of data in chapter four of my work.
