Abstract
This project looks at Statistical analysis of internally generated revenue in Abia state. This research is on Time Series Analysis of Internally Generated Tax Revenue in Abia State within the period of 1999– 2017. The research is aimed at determining the trend of internal revenue as well as predicting its future trend (i.e forecasting). In this research, it was found that revenue generation increased on yearly basis in Abia state from equality of the straight line which gave Yt -132365404 + 339745251t. it was equally observed from the rime series graph that the generated revenue increased on yearly basis. The regression line also indicates the X3X5 and X1 have the highest contribution 2.270, 8.314 and 1.194 respectively to the total internally generated revenue while X2 has the least contribution among the independent variable on the dependent variable. The trend was as well used to forecast what the revenue will likely be in the years 2018 up to 2022. The result gotten in the hypothesis indicated that there is a significant difference between the total annual revenue generation of Abia state. Based on the findings, recommendations were also made.
