Abstract

This research is on The place of record management to decision making in a modern organization. The study adopted descriptive research design. Five research questions were raised to guide the study. The total population was 180 and 120 was sampled for this study. Questionnaire was the instrument for data collection. Mean and standard deviation was used for data analysis. The study revealed among others that the success of the filing system depends on the amount of care taken in selecting the classification or the method of filing. Therefore, it was recommended that electronic and manual filing systems should be used in records management and good classification of documents should be done and classification must be simple.
