Web-based system for livestock ordering and delivery

Description

Abstract This project was centered on developing a web-based system for livestock ordering and delivery. The current process of livestock order and delivery are not really convenient for the farmers. The farmers are completely dependent upon local traders and insincere middlemen for the sale of their livestock. Hence the livestock is sold at a giveaway price. These issues and more such as inconveniencies encountered by customers, lack of good marketing facilities are what this research aims to proffer solutions to. The new system developed would enhance the speed and standards of taking orders from customers and delivering the purchased items as well. It provides user-friendly web pages and easy to navigate menus so as to enable customers to quickly browse the livestock categories. The research methodology used in this project research is the SSADM (Structured System Analysis and Design Method). The application was developed with PHP and MySQL. This language was chosen because of its easy syntax and features for developing web-based applications..
