Description
Abstract The purpose of this study is to design and implement a computer software program for the solution of Simultaneous Linear Equation, Quadratic Equation, Progression, and Commercial Arithmetic, the design was carried out using Visual Studio, this system provides a framework to help understand the way in which students can learn from or with software and provide them opportunities to support different types of students learning, however, the system is limited to solution of questions from only four topics but can be expanded. The existing system is a purely manual approach to teaching and learning with the use of papers, textbooks and pen but the proposed system provide a medium of diversifying the way in which student can learn by providing an automated system to complement the existing system. System like this explores student’s interest by providing a connection between what can be learned from papers and with computer systems. In as much as computer laboratory is been built in schools and equipped with computer systems and virtually every home are now having PC’s ranging from desktop to laptop computers, there is need to have an accompanying Educational Software Programs and Applications design to provide students with the means of learning mathematics while operating the system.
