Abstract
This project focuses on Accountability and corruption in public organization. The issue of corruption and accountability has been a major bone of contention in Nigeria Local Government Council can never be over-estimated. However, from the basis of this research work, the projects are presented. In five chapters, most of the chapter consists of x-rayed findings chapter five laid emphasis in the whole work, make recommendations and conclusion and finally draw conclusion. The following recommendations were made a. The need to sanitize the bureaucracy to allow for proximity, honesty, and accountability in the local government system. b. There should be appropriate sanction and consummate punishment to any detailer no matter his position. c. The principles of rule laws that posits the equality of individuals and supremacy of law should be put to work.
