This project is on Annual performance evaluation as a tool for enhancing workers performance with its case study of the Federal Polytechnic Bida.  Questionnaire was employed in carrying out the study, a total of 150 copies of questionnaires were recovered from a sample size of 150 respondents. Appraisal system is established by some organization to help motivate their employee to strike hard to be recognized and rewarded. An effective employee appraisal help to align individual goal with that of the organization in terms of providing clear communication around workplace, responsibilities and objectives, identifies, training needs and encourage a positive relationship between workers and management. The research made a number of recommendations which include among others that the appraisal system should be practiced in the Federal Polytechnic Bida, as it enables the management to know the qualified staff or workers and those that are due for promotion, training, development and also in salary payment.
