Abstract
The broad objective of this study was to appraise the impact of strike action on the achievement of trade union agitation or demand in the public institution in Nigeria. A case study of Nigeria Union of Teachers Abia State. This study was mainly to look into and really appraise the reasons and after effects of strike action in Abia state. However, recommendations were made to address these problem areas. Strike action is a constant occurrence in the public institutions in Nigeria, it has both negative and positive effects on the institutions therefore, this worth is designed to examine the general impact of strike action on the trade unions’ agitations or demands in the public institutions’ agitations in Nigeria.
