Computerization of a Savings and Loan Scheme of an Establishment ( A Case Study of PHCN Staff Abakiliki Co-operative Thrift Society).

Abstract This project research is on computerization of a savings and loan scheme of an establishment, a case study of PHCN STAFF ABAKALIKI CO-OPERATIVE THRIFT SOCIETY.  It aims at changing the manual process methods of processing, into a computer-base system. The conversion involves many steps and they are as follows in different chapters. Chapter one talks about the introduction of the project topic and definition terms and suggestions of several other authors, literates, intellectuals and lecturers as regards computer operations of savings and loans in business. Chapter three takes the researcher through series of investigations carried out on the case study, the findings and their respective analysis then followed. Chapter four deals with program coding, program flowcharts, testing, documentation, implementation and maintenance. Chapter five highlights the need for evaluation of the computerized system. Also the summary, conclusion and recommendation were drawn in this chapter. The new system was designed using Microsoft visual basic 6.0 programming language. This language was chosen because of its easy syntax and features for developing windows based applications.
