Abstract
This research writing focuses on Influence of Channels iReport on citizen journalism in Nigeria, a study of Sapele metropolis. The study is designed to find out if residents in Sapele participate in the channel iReport. The instrument for data collection was the questionnaire. The method used for analyzing the data collected is the simple percentage which was used to analyze the responses gotten from the questionnaire distributed and from findings. Results from the study showed that Channels television iReport is influenced by citizen journalism in Nigeria. It was so far indicated that technological advancement has in many ways changed mass media and that channels television iReport exposes the ills in Nigeria’s society.
